We took the hour drive to Columbia, NC and fished the Scuppernong River. The wind was howling at 20 to 30 mph which really cut down on the available fishing areas. The water is still holding around 43 degrees and did not warm much during the day. We still managed a few fish, an I was able to find a couple promising areas to fish later since I could not fish where I wanted.
