Outer Banks Bass Fishing

August 21, 2013

Today I had a great time with Bill from Virginia on North River.  It was a very unusual day on the river with calm still wind all day.  We had to slow down and fish weightless plastics to get bites.  Bill came through with a nice fish on the last cast of the day.  Thanks for a great day Bill!!!

Outer Banks Bass Fishing

August 20, 2013

I went out today to scout around and try some areas that have produced in the past but not this year.  I caught a bunch of little fish and finally a nice keeper.

Outer Banks Bass Fishing

August 18, 2013

Today I had a fun trip with Steve and his son Justin from Virginia.  The day started with clouds and a little drizzle, but it did not take long for Justin to put the first bass in the boat.  Thanks guys for a great fishing day!

Outer Banks Bass Fishing

August 16, 2013

Well the day set up for great North River bass fishing.  The cooler temps dropped the water temp over 10 degrees to the mid to upper 70's, the sky was cloudy with a little rain, and the northeast wind made for low water conditions.  With all the conditions lining up Judd and I hit the river for some bass fishing.  We caught over 20 fish and even one on the last cast.  Here are a few photo's of today catch.

Outer Banks Freshwater Fishing

August 6, 2013

Went out for a half day light tackle trip with Eric.  We caught 40 to 50 fish mostly on Slider Crappie Grubs and about 6 different species.  We had a good time and action was steady.  The day started with a nice usual North River sunrise.

Outer Banks Bass and Freshwater Fishing

August 2, 2013

Well today was a search mission to find some fish where either I have never fished or where I have not checked this year.  I started out bass fishing and found one very good spot and a few with a buch of small fish.  Here are a couple of the better fish I caught early.

When the bass bite slowed I went in search of some new light tackle hot spots and boy did I find one.  I found big bluegill in their summer depth in a new spot and wore them out.  I caught over 80 in a couple hours.
